University of Siena - Communication Design Dept. (Bachelor Degree Thesis project - 2007. Score: 107/110)
The Communication Design Dept. didn't have a brand and it wasn't communicating its identity neither to the future students nor to the current students.
I worked closely with Studio21 to create a strong identity for the Communication Design Department.
I did benchmarking and user research using interviews and questionnaires. I analyzed all the data and I started to collect images, metaphors and symbols in mood-boards. Then I generated many concepts and sketched some of them. I evaluated them till I found the 2 most meaningful that could represent the department identity and fill the communication gap between the institution and its students. Logo and payoff were created and were followed by a website, brochures and other merchandising items. Contact me for more details.
