C-Map by Jeppesen is one of the biggest company providing electronic charts. They were acquired by Jeppesen and they wanted their website redesigned and integrated with Jeppesen ecosystem.
Client acquired a company that produced maps for navigating waters and wanted to integrate the new products with the existing website. My deliverable addressed both the UI designer (at Rokivo in Turin) and the developers.
I mapped all the information available in the existing website and I facilitated the stakeholders at prioritizing its content. There was no time and no budget for a proper user research, but the client had very useful insights about their future and already customers, coming from their marketing research. I was able to find a tradeoff between business and users needs so that I could redesign the whole website structure following the users mental model indicated by the client, highlighting business priorities.
